"The Gift of Leadership"

"The season of giving is about to begin", how exciting.  Will you be crowding the malls, surfing the internet, racking your brain on what to give?  Will you be beeping your horn at the person in front of you because they sat an extra second at the light?  Will you be overwhelmed and stressed thinking about everything you have to accomplish in a short period of time?  Mostly everyone one of us have the most amazing gift to give our loved ones without the crowded malls, internet, beeping our horns and stressing ourselves!  It doesn't have to be wrapped, shipped, charged on your credit nor does it increase the weight on your scale.  It's the most profound gift that will last a lifetime and can be willed from generation to generation...."The Gift of Leadership" that's the first gift I'm giving my twelve year old daughter this year!

Many people believe that great leaders are made, not born, and there is no better time to start honing leadership skills than in childhood. It is never too early – or too late – to start developing leadership qualities and with the right encouragement and support, children can realize their natural potential and enhance the leadership skills which will help them succeed throughout life.  Is there a better gift to give?

Here are some of leadership activities that I'm gift wrapping and giving to my child this holiday season. I thought I would share them with you!

1. Enable them to become more self-aware and look at the positive and negative aspects of their own   behavior.
2. Help them see areas where there are opportunities and encourage them to improve themselves
3. Suggest ways to boost their self-esteem and morale
4. Help them practice public confidence and expressing themselves clearly to others
5. Help them develop their organizational skills and even the ability to lead others
6. Help them in overall personality development and promote ‘can-do’ attitudes

Have a wonderful holiday season and give to your child the greatest gift of all "The Gift of Developing Your Young Leader"!

Be Well!
